UPDATE: Power Restored In East Saint John

The lights are back on for about 140 homes and businesses in east Saint John.

Saint John Energy reported an unplanned outage in the Rothesay Avenue area early Monday morning.

The utility initially said it would be around 8 a.m. Monday before the lights would be back on.

But in a post on Twitter around 6:35 a.m., the utility said power had been restored to all customers.

There is no word on what caused the outage.
