Prayer Vigil For Ukraine In Grand Bay-Westfield

Residents in the Grand Bay-Westfield area can stand with the people of Ukraine on Friday.

A prayer vigil is being organized at the WorkSafeNB Rehabilitation Centre parking lot on Westfield Road at 7 p.m.

According to a post on the town’s website, the event is being organized by the Churches of Grand Bay-Westfield.

Organizers said it is a chance to “stand in the cold” with the Ukrainian families who have been forced from their homes, as well as to pray for their country, their peace, and their safety.

Friday marks Day 23 of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
