Proof Of Vaccination Now Required In N.B.

In addition to masking up again, proof of COVID-19 vaccination is now required in New Brunswick to access a lengthy list of non-essential facilities such as gyms, restaurants, pubs, nightclubs, theatres, indoor pools and arenas.

Premier Blaine Higgs says if patrons don’t provide proof and create a fuss, a business owner has every right to call police.

“(We have) clear instructions available for them to post at their job site or facility whether it be a restaurant or what have you and they can point to that as the requirements by law. If customers or people do not adhere to that then they should indeed call for assistance.”

Businesses will be asking for government-issued identification along with proof of vaccination for anyone 12 years of age and older.

Any individual or business failing to follow the new regulations could be hit with fines ranging from $172.50 up to $772.50.
