Homeowners in the province have begun receiving their first property assessment notices in the mail.

This is a new process for New Brunswick.

The assessments were mailed out for October 1st, allowing residents time to dispute the assessed value if they choose, before a property tax bill arrives in March next year.

Homeowners have until the end of October to file a request for review.

It can be done online.
