As the New Brunswick Federation of Labour conference carries on, a protest against the changes to Canada Post taking place in front of Rodney Weston’s office over the lunch hour today.
George Nickerson of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers tells CHSJ News the amount of letter delivery has gone down but overall mail delivery is still steady.
He says as a letter carrier the satchels he lugs are heavier than ever before yet so it’s a different business but Canada Post doesn’t seem to want to act.
Rodney Weston was not in his office. CHSJ News was told he is in Ottawa today.
