Protest Tonight In Fredericton Over Kinder Morgan Buyout By Trudeau Liberals

Organizers are hoping for a big turnout today in Fredericton as they protest the Trudeau Government’s purchase of Trans Mountain Pipeline from Kinder Morgan.

It will take place outside of Fredericton MP Matt DeCourcey’s office at 494 Queen Street in the capital city.

Organizers plan to collect and deliver petitions signed by more than 260,000 people opposed to the Kinder Morgan pipeline and urge the federal government to not give the Texas-based company any tax dollars.

“The $4.5 billion spent on the pipeline buyout should go to projects that will make a real change such as clear water, safe housing, renewable energy projects and education for Indigenous communities,” says Avi Diggle, Leadnow volunteer.

Diggle hopes to see a large turnout for the event that starts at 6 o’clock tonight.

This is one of 80 such events at MP offices as part of the National Day of Action to Stop the Kinder Morgan Buyout.
