Province-Wide Burn Ban Ends, Thanks To Afternoon Of Rain

Some rain has helped lower the fire risk in New Brunswick but despite a busier season, the Department of Natural Resources says the province has enough firefighters on hand.

DNR fire prevention officer Roger Collette says some provincial firefighters who went out West are now returning and it’s not clear if any will be heading back.

The province-wide burn ban is over for now but Collette encourages everyone to check with the DNR for the latest updates since the fire hazard can change quickly during the summer.
