Members of the Progressive Conservative Party of New Brunswick voted to keep ‘Progressive’ in their party’s name at its annual general meeting held in Fredericton this weekend.
A motion brought forward by the New Brunswick Young Progressive Conservatives to drop the word ‘Progressive’ from the party’s name was debated and defeated.
A date on the party’s leadership convention has not yet been decided but the wheels are now in motion to organise one, likely late in 2016.
