Provincial Government Appears Unconcerned After Criticism From Anti-Poverty Group Of “Family Plan”

The provincial government doesn’t appear concerned over the criticism in the wake of the release of their New Brunswick Family Plan.

Anti poverty group the Common Front for Social Justice blasted the plan for being a stalling tactic, and a waste of resources.

In an emailed statement, Families and Children Minister Stephen Horsman says they are confident residents will help them develop a comprehensive plan to benefit all families.

His expectation is New Brunswickers will come forward over the next few weeks to summits with the Premier to lay out the issues most important to them.

Horsman adds these summits will also include stakeholders to help flesh out the framework of the Family Plan including a path forward.
