The provincial Green Party is promising to bring more local foods into our hospitals, schools, and correctional institutions if elected.
Provincial Green Party leader David Coon describes it as a natural way to boost our local producers and also increase the health of the province.
Coon says the Local Food Security Act the Greens would work to introduce would also involve better labelling for local food products so people know where they come from.
