Québec man wanted on warrant arrested in Saint John

Saint John police have arrested a 33-year-old man wanted on an arrest warrant out of Québec for alleged intimate partner violence.

Police received information from the Sûreté du Québec on Monday that an arrest warrant for a man had been extended into New Brunswick.

“Information received was that the suspect was within the area of Saint John and an address was provided,” Saint John police said in a news release on Wednesday.

Officers located and arrested the individual without incident.

They were remanded into custody and are awaiting transportation to Québec.
