On Tuesday, Quispamsis council finally approved its 2022 budget.
Council approved both the operating and capital budgets.
It means the new tax rate will be set a $1.3163 per $100 of assessed value, a drop of 2.65 cents compared to 2020.
The utility operating budget rose by 4.59 per cent to almost $3 million, while the 2022 general operating budget will be $28.2 million, an increase of seven per cent compared to 2021.
Residents will have to pay roughly three per cent more for water and sewer.
