A runner from Quispamsis will be making her Boston Marathon debut tomorrow.
Shelley Doucet will be taking part in the world’s oldest annual marathon after an injury almost prevented her from taking part.
Doucet says she’s really excited to run alongside her sister, Saint John native Marcy Holland.
She says running is a great way to relieve stress and says she gets her best thinking done while she’s out running.
Doucet has been the runner of the year in New Brunswick for the last few years and was close to breaking the provincial record before suffering an injury.
Her running time is 2hr and 50 minutes and the record is 2hr and 47 minutes.
The Boston Marathon is over 42 km long.
