Any charitable organization that sees a cut in funding of $50,000 would feel it deeply.
That is the case with the Saint John Volunteer Centre.
Eileen McLaughlin tells CHSJ News they have been around for 41 years recruiting volunteers and matching them up to the 70 member organizations.
She tells tonight’s Raise Your Hand auction was always planned as a signature annual event but has grown in importance since news of their funding cut.
The auction runs 6-9pm at the New Brunswick Museum in Market Square and admission is $10 at the door.
