RCMP Identify Remains As Man Missing Since January

Human remains found on the weekend in Lakeville, near Moncton, have now been identified.

RCMP say they are 27-year-old Adam Grant Howard, who went missing in January.

Police are investigating his death as suspicious.

Howard was reported leaving a home on Route 115 in Irishtown on Jan. 6 and texted friends looking for a ride.

Grant’s remains were found on May 2 after police received reports of some of his belongings being located near a wooded lot in Lakeville.

His mother, Sandra Slater, and other family members travelled to Greater Moncton in February to launch a search for Howard.

His family is heartbroken with the loss. Our newsroom received an email from Slater.

“This hurts like nothing I have felt before. It rips my heart out. I want to hear his voice again I want so badly one of his great big hugs and that is never going to ever happen again.”

Anyone with information on Howard’s death, or who may have had contact with him after Jan. 6 is asked to contact the Southeast District Crime Reduction Unit at 506-533-5151.
