RCMP In Atlantic Canada Recognized For Social Media Efforts

RCMP in Atlantic Canada have been nominated for the international ConnectedCops awards for their work on a social media campaign during National Driving Week two years ago.

They’ve been shortlisted in the Social Media Campaign Management category.

The campaign was a team effort from RCMP in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI and Newfoundland and Labrador.

The goal of the campaign was to remind drivers that there is never an excuse for driving while impaired.

Winners will be announced at the Social Media Internet Law Enforcement conference in California on Monday.

The ConnectedCops awards recognize the exceptional use of social media by law enforcement agencies around the world.
