RCMP Investigating After ‘Significant Amount Of Damage’ Done To N.B. House

RCMP are investigating after a home outside of the north side of Fredericton in Douglas was broken into and badly damaged.

Corporal Jean-Francois Martel of the Keswick RCMP tells CHSJ News they were dispatched out to the home on Leeland Way on Sunday evening and it’s believed the break-and-enter happened over the weekend.

“It appears suspect would have gained entry into the house and caused a significant amount of damage in the house,” says Cpl. Martel.

The forensic identification unit was called in to proces the scene the next day.

While there haven’t been any arrests at this point, Cpl. Martel says there are leads that investigators are pursuing at this time.

The Red Cross issued a release saying they are helping out the family with a place to stay, food and personal care items for a couple of days.

Cpl. Martel says if you have any information about this incident do not hesitate to give them a call.
