RCMP Investigating Homicide In Petit-Cap

RCMP have identified the victim of a homicide in Petit-Cap.

Officers responded to reports of a break and enter on Route 950 early Wednesday morning. When they arrived they discovered the body of a man inside the home.

He has been identified as 55-year-old Nicholas Trenholm.

During an investigation, police learned there were two men involved in the incident who fled the scene in a vehicle before police arrived.

RCMP are looking to speak to anyone who lives in the area who may have video surveillance footage, or who witnessed suspicious activity in the late evening hours of December 7 or early morning hours of December 8.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Major Crime Unit at 1-888-506-RCMP (7267). Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), by downloading the secure P3 Mobile App, or by Secure Web Tips at www.crimenb.ca.
