RCMP locate man and two children in Irishtown Nature Park

A happy ending after a search for a man and two children at Irishtown Nature Park.

RCMP Superintendent Benoit Jolette says officers were called on October 12th after reports of someone in psychological distress.

They used a drone to help with the search, “In a short time, we were able to locate the individual and the two young children, take them to safety and give him the care he needed.”

Jolette adds they received lots of help from the public who provided vital information, “Over ten patrol members, our police dog services and members from our Crime Reduction Team, it was amazing the amount of help people were giving us as we were looking for this individual and the kids. Everyone we intercepted gave us vital information.”
