RCMP probe 3 suspicious Charlotte County fires

Mounties are investigating three arsons in the Honeydale area of Charlotte County over the weekend.

First responders were called to a structure fire on Richardson Road at around 4:25 a.m. Sunday.

About an hour later, around 5:30 a.m., a call came in for another fire on Route 127 near Tryon Road.

While on the scene, first responders were made aware of a third structure fire on Richardson Road.

“Through the investigation, it was determined that the fires had been intentionally set using the same method,” RCMP said in a news release on Wednesday.

All three structures were abandoned, said police, and no one was hurt in any of the fires.

The Office of the Fire Marshal is assisting with the investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the St. Stephen RCMP at 506-466-7030 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
