RCMP Probe ‘Suspicious’ Death Of Picadilly Boy

Police say they are treating the death of a 16-year-old boy in the Sussex area as suspicious.

RCMP says they responded to a 911 call at a home on Orchard Crescent in Picadilly around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.

“When police arrived, they found a 16-year-old boy deceased inside the home,” said Cpl. Jullie Rogers-Marsh, spokesperson for the New Brunswick RCMP.

Rogers-Marsh said no one else was in the home when officers arrived.

An autopsy will be conducted to help determine the boy’s cause of death.

The New Brunswick RCMP’s Major Crime Unit has taken over the investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to call the RCMP at 506-433-7700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
