RCMP To Appear In Court To Face Charges In Connection With June 4th Shooting Deaths

A first court appearance is scheduled for today for charges laid against the RCMP in connection with the fatal shootings on June 4th in Moncton.

The RCMP is facing four charges under the Canada Labour Code. They relate to a lack of equipment, training and supervision.

The charges were laid in May.

Five officers were shot on June 4th last year, three of them died at the hands of a lone gunman as he wandered the streets of Northwest Moncton.
