Reardon announces re-election bid

Saint John Mayor Donna Noade Reardon will run for a second term.

Reardon posted to Facebook Saturday afternoon to announce her bid.

“The world is changing and Saint John has unique opportunities right now, and I want to keep leading through big change,” she said in the post.

Reardon was first elected to council in 2012, re-elected in 2016 and became Saint John’s 79th mayor in 2021.

As of April 4, there are two other candidates for mayor in Saint John – current councillor Barry Ogden and Blaine Harris.

Election day is May 11.
