The 51-year-old man and 50-year-old woman found dead inside a home on Red Head Road this week died as a result of a murder-suicide.
That finding from Saint John police who responded to the home late on Monday afternoon for a well-being check and as they entered, heard a gunshot.
Inspector Tanya LeBlanc says they’re waiting for final post-mortem reports to conclude the investigation.
A funeral is being held for the woman who was found dead, Cathy Bawn, at the Fundy Funeral Home on Westmorland Road Saturday morning at 11:00.
