A remedial plan has been developed to rehabilitate Seaside Park.
Work will begin this month to return it back to its natural state. The city says the work includes removal of the remaining dead vegetation, relevelling of disturbed soil and replacing native vegetation.
The estimated cost of the work is $4100. Councillor Blake Armstrong has agreed to cover that entire cost.
ACAP Saint John is hosting the first Seaside Park Consultation/Cleanup Event on May 16.
Educational interpretive signage will be put up to allow for collaborative programs to take place with students from the new Seaside Park Elementary School.
