A report showing the city’s history of contract talks and arbitration for police and fire looks like it will be delivered at the next council meeting.
Mayor Don Darling ignited controversy after making the request for the report, telling council the next budget is going to be a very tough one and that nothing in the city can be untouchable anymore.
While the report isn’t in the council packet, on Friday the IAFF Local 771 Saint John Firefighters’ Association asked about it on Twitter and mayor Darling responded that it will be delivered at council was not yet complete.
Mayor @dondarlingSJ , The local is curious to know why this report isn’t contained in the online agenda packet posted today? Is the presentation postponed or will it be delivered Tuesday, and if so will it posted online ahead of the meeting? https://t.co/HbXOH5tiIy
