A retired school teacher in Saint John has been honoured in Washington for his service during World War Two.
94 year old Art Pottle is back home on the west side after being presented with the U.S. Congressional Gold Medal by House Speaker John Boehner.
During World War Two, Pottle was a member of an elite commando unit made up of both American and Canadian soldiers known as the Devil’s Brigade. A movie was later made about that unit in 1968 featuring William Holden.
