Sustainable Saint John rewarding some local businesses for the small and big changes they are making to reduce their carbon footprint.
Brenda MacCallum tells CHSJ News says their mission is to grow sustainability in Saint John.
She says for the individual businesses that is taking environmental steps and building Saint John’s capacity for sustainable actions as well.
At the Environmental Recognition Awards,Saint John Energy, Pomodori and Hemmings House all picked up hardware.
Honourable mentions went to Stantec, Clow Canada, the New Brunswick Museum, Fundy Region Solid Waste, Xerox, Facilicorp, the City of Saint John, Osco Construction Group, the Saint John Airport and Saint John Industrial Parks.
Sustainable Saint John hosts lunch and learn events, facility tours, conferences and workshops through the year.
