Businesses from across the country went before the dragon’s over the weekend in the hopes of making a deal in the Den.
Two years ago, a Riverview based company called Resourceful Redneck did the same.
Co-Founder Mike Holland says the success of their business, is partly because many people remember their pitch, “The ripple effects that we are still seeing from that. I am able to pick, up the phone now and call places from end of the country to the other, and when I say, you’ve heard of us? Most people respond that they saw us on TV. With reruns, we have had a bunch of activity on our social media who were seeing our episode of Dragon’s den from a couple of years ago. It continues to serve, and as long as that show is in production and in syndication, we will get exposure.””
Holland says they made a deal on the show, but in the process afterwards, they compared their vision with the Dragon they signed with, but they didn’t match up. They made the choice to move forward on their own.
He says being featured on the Dragon’s Den opened a lot of doors for them, and helped them to establish a lot of connections.
