Road Rage Under Investigation

A pedestrian was assaulted after nearly being run over while crossing the street at Wellington Row and Union Street. Police Sergeant Chuck Breen says the pedestrian threw a bag at the passing car and it struck the passenger door. The driver stopped and punched the pedestrian in the eye who required stitches.

Police also arrested a 58 year old woman for drunk driving after her car left Golden Grove Road then travelled along an embankment, across a driveway and narrowly missed a hydro pole before crossing the road and finally came to a stop after running into some trees.
