The New Brunswick Emergency Measures Organization says it is aware of the service disruptions for Rogers customers.
In a statement posted to Twitter, NBEMO said it is working with its partners to assess the ongoing situation.
“There are no reported issues affecting 911 or first responder communications,” NBEMO said in the tweet, posted just after 10 a.m. Friday.
However, some Rogers customers may have difficulty connecting with 911 due to the outage.
New Brunswick RCMP said if that happens, try using a landline or cell phone on a different network.
The City of Saint John said its 911 operations centre (PSCC) continues to operate as normal, and there is no impact on city fire or police operations.
