Hockey fans in Saint John are beyond are livid at the termination of Sea Dogs play by play announcer Tim Roszell.
After 12 seasons with the team, he was let go last week in what is describedas a cost-cutting measure.
David Fudge tells us he’s been a season ticket holder for 10 years and he’s so upset about this move he may not renew for next season.
“Because Tim Roszell is the voice of the Sea Dogs,” says Fudge. “You know everything that is going on in the game, you know all the scores, the stats”.
He says a lot of people who signed a petition to reinstate Roszell feel the same.
“I would say 90 per cent or more are not going to renew this year or they are upset about the way management is handling things”.
(1/2) As a proud alum of the Saint John Sea Dogs, I find myself disappointed with my former club. Tim’s dedication, commitment, and passion was evident everyday, and more importantly his genuine care for each and every player. It’s sad to see an organization let go of good people

Our newsroom reached out to both Roszell and Trevor Georgie, the president of the Sea Dogs.
“I have been absolutely blown away by the phone calls, texts, messages and social media,” Roszell says. “I want Saint John to know I’ve read every one of them. And I cannot thank them enough for their kind words.”
Georgie does not want to comment publicly.
