Council awarding a contract to Fairville Construction Limited to build a detention pond at the tendered price of $1.1-million.
When it comes to when construction is anticipated to begin Mayor Bill Bishop tells us there are certain deadlines that need to be met. He says, for example, one of the problems they have is that the Department of Environment and Local Government requires that you can only cut trees at a certain time before the migratory birds come back so that will have to be done in late April and early May.
