A replacement bridge is now open in Stoney Creek allowing traffic to flow again on Route 114 following a washout in March.

The semi-permanent bridge will be open to one lane of traffic in each direction this weekend and two lanes should be open by next week once paving is done.
Provincial transportation minister Bill Fraser says two other projects will also be completed this year – drainage work in Hillsborough near Pound Hill and 1.2 kilometres of repaving in Alma.

A dollar figure has not been attached since a department spokesperson says the work has not yet gone to tender.
