Saint John-Based Cirrus9 Acquired By Carbon60

Cirrus9, a managed cloud and hosting solutions provider based in Saint John, has a new name.

The company has been acquired by Carbon60, a managed cloud service provider.

In a news release, Carbon60 said the move will provide them with an Atlantic coast presence, creating a truly national footprint.

“Cirrus9 is a natural fit with Carbon60’s strategy to lead businesses across Canada in their IT cloud transformations combined with a culture of delivering superior client experiences,” said John Witte, CEO of Carbon60, in a statement.

Founded in 2010, Cirrus9 has a track record of delivering managed IT solutions across Canada.

Fred Bullock, co-founder and CEO of Cirrus9, said they are excited to be joining Carbon60.

“As the market continues to evolve, clients are increasingly looking for a trusted partner to support their businesses across multiple cloud platforms,” said Bullock in a statement.

“Cirrus9’s clients will be able to leverage Carbon60’s managed AWS and Azure cloud design, migration and management expertise for secure and compliant cloud-native and hybrid cloud transformation.”

As part of the transaction, Bullock will join Carbon60’s management team and serve as senior vice-president of business solutions.
