Saint John Cancels New Year’s Eve Fireworks

There will not be any New Year’s Eve fireworks at Long Wharf in Saint John after all.

City officials have cancelled the planned fireworks display due to COVID-19 restrictions.

The province announced Tuesday that all regions will be moving to Level 2 of the Winter Action Plan on Dec. 27.

Council approved the fireworks display earlier this month at an expected cost of $15,000.
