Saint John Councillor Going After Provincial Nomination

He has served on Saint John council since 2012 and now he wants to go to the next level to make Saint John an even better city.

Ward 2 Councillor John MacKenzie tells CHSJ News he thinks he could do more from Fredericton and that is why he is seeking the Liberal nomination in the riding of Portland-Simonds.

MacKenzie says ” I think we have to look at fair taxation for Saint John.”

The date for the Liberal nomination meeting for the Portland-Simonds riding has yet to be set according to MacKenzie who has also been a long-time community leader.

Trevor Holder is the incumbant PC MLA for Portland-Simonds.
