The city of Saint John is encouraging residents to take part in Earth Hour by turning their lights out tonight between 830-930pm.
Earth Hour is designed to raise awareness to the over use of energy in modern society.
The goal is to bring global attention to the large impact that can be made through a small action of turning your lights off for an hour, which can help if enough people take part.
There will be a guided walk around Lily and Fisher Lakes on Fisher Lakes Drive tonight in Rockwood Park to honour the occasion.
The walk will be led by the Outdoor Enthusiasts Club and will start outside of the Lily Lake Pavilion at 8:30pm.
