Instead of having to pay out a lot of cash upfront, homeowners can rent heat pumps from Saint John Energy.
The Vice-President of Finance and Customer Service Marta Kelly says it’s estimated you can save about 30 per cent on your monthly heating bill.
The rental fees depend on the size of the unit and will range from just under 46 dollars a month to almost 48 dollars. In the summertime, the heat pumps serve as air conditioners. Kelly says demand thus far has exceeded their expectations.
