Saint John Launches New Website Amid Cyberattack

As Saint John continues to deal with a cyberattack, the city has launched a new temporary website.

The site includes news and service updates, municipal contact information, transit schedules, and council meetings and agenda.

City officials say the site will remain available as staff work to address the situation with the ransomware virus.

The city’s website, along with the rest of its IT services, was shut down when the attack was noticed late last week.

According to the city, the new site is hosted by a third-party, independent of the city’s infrastructure.
