Saint John man charged over child pornography

A 39-year-old man from Saint John, New Brunswick, is facing serious charges following an investigation by the RCMP’s Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit.

He has been charged with possession and transmission of child pornography.

The investigation started in May 2023 after police received information from the RCMP’s National Child Exploitation Crime Centre.

As the investigation progressed, law enforcement obtained a search warrant and, on November 2, 2023, executed it at a residence in Saint John. Several electronic devices were seized during the operation, leading to the man’s arrest at the scene.

On October 4, 2024, he was formally charged and released under conditions while awaiting his next court appearance on November 13.

The investigation is ongoing.
