A Saint John man is facing charges after a police investigation into child exploitation and sexual abuse material.

The 57-year-old was arrested in January in connection with an investigation by the RCMP’s Internet Child Exploitation unit.

The ICE unit began the investigation in May 2025 and found an individual in the Saint John area was offering child sexual abuse and exploitation material in May and June 2025.

Police executed a search warrant in east Saint John on Jan. 8 and arrested the suspect.

During the search, police seized several electronic devices.

The suspect appeared in Saint John provincial court on June 8 and was charged with possession, accessing, and making available child sexual abuse and exploitation material.
