Saint John Man Charged In Moncton Hit and Run

A 26-year-old Saint John man has been arrested following a hit-and-run collision in Moncton.

Around 2 o’clock Wednesday morning, Codiac RCMP were called to Mountain Road where a pedestrian had been struck by a car which fled the scene.

A 22-year-old man was taken to hospital with what Mounties believe were non-life threatening injuries.

Later the same morning, police were called to Kendra Street for an abandoned vehicle which appeared to have been in a collision.

Police confirmed it was involved in the hit-and-run and the driver was apprehended a short time later.

The man has been released from custody pending a court appearance in October.
