The policy on closing schools in the province is broken, misused and misunderstood according to Portland-Simonds MLA Trevor Holder.
He points to what’s happening right now in Saint John as a case in point, saying policy 409 is not adequate in deciding the futures of 7 schools.
Holder calls the current policy on the closing of schools one of the most divisive in government.
