Saint John Off To Senior Baseball Final

The Saint John Alpines are heading to the New Brunswick Senior Baseball League final.

Saint John defeated Chatham 8-5 on Thursday night to take the best-of-seven semifinal 4-1.

Ryan Nason pitched a complete game to gain the win. Connor Huckins, Luc Vautour and Dawson Griffin
each had two hits for the Alpines.

The best-of-seven final will see the Alpines face the Fredericton Royals, who took the other league semifinal against the Moncton Fisher Cats in six games.

Saint John and Fredericton split the eight games they played against each other during the regular season.

Game one of the final is set for Sunday in Saint John, while the teams will head to Fredericton for game two on Monday night.
