Saint John police say they have identified a body found along the Saint John River.
A fisherman discovered the body just north of Reversing Falls around 1 p.m. on Sept. 1.
DNA analysis has determined the body was that of a 50-year-old man from Saint John.
“Investigators do not believe that the circumstances of death are criminal in nature,” police said in a news release on Wednesday.
Police said they will not be releasing the man’s name at the request of his family.
