Saint John police need witnesses after dog struck, killed on crosswalk

Help is needed to identify the driver and vehicle involved in a collision at Wyatt Crescent and Heather Way in Saint John.

Saint John police say sometime between 3 and 3:30 p.m. on May 12, a dog was struck while walking on the crosswalk with its owner.

The dog later died of its injuries.

Police say the 69-year-old man is visually impaired and had a white cane and was wearing a traffic safety vest. The dog was also on a leash.
