Saint John Police are asking for the public’s help to find a man wanted on a Canada‑wide warrant.
Officers were notified on Tuesday that a warrant had been issued on May 17 for 36‑year‑old Bernard Kellar.
The warrant was issued after he breached the conditions of his statutory release and his whereabouts became unknown, according to police.
Police explained Kellar is a first‑time federal offender serving 2 years and 1 month for the following offences:
- Robbery with Violence
- Theft Under $5000 (x5)
- Obstruct Peace Officer (x2)
- Identity Fraud with Intent
- Motor Vehicle Theft
- Break Enter and Commit Theft Under $5000
- Procures/Possesses/Sells Identity Document
- Offences Under Motor Vehicle Act of NB
- Assault with a Weapon
- Theft Under 5,000$
- Fail to Attend Court‑Undertaking/Recognizance
Kellar is described by police as five‑foot‑eight and 190 pounds, with a recently shaved head, brown beard and brown eyes.
Police added that he has no tattoos, and no clothing description was available.
The Saint John police are advising the public not to approach him.
