Saint John police seize firearms, drugs

Saint John police have seized drugs and firearms following a two-month drug trafficking investigation.

Officers with the Integrated Enforcement Unit arrested two people without incident last Thursday.

They seized 22 grams of cocaine, 4.24 grams of crystal meth, 51 meth pills (ICE), 22 hits of LSD and 39.5 Zopiclone pills.

Police also seized 11 rifles, seven shotguns, a crossbow and 16 replica pellet guns.

The accused are facing a laundry list of drugs and weapons-related charges.

They were due to appear in court on Monday for a bail hearing.
