Recently, Krista has been delighted to see amazing photos of Saint John popping up in her feed. Earlier in January, she reached out to Andrew Miller to compliment him on his extraordinary photos and ask permission to share some of them here on the community portal.
Not only are Andrew’s pictures breathtaking, so are the descriptions that he posts with them. Proud to be a lifelong advocate of Saint John, it’s easy to see this reflected in what he shares – visually and verbally.
From October 20, 2025:
A few years ago, I took this photo of Saint John Harbour wrapped in fog. It struck me then, and it still does now. Fog has a way of flattening everything blurring distance, muting sound, making it hard to tell what’s ahead. Life can feel like that too.
But even here, in the thick of it, there are anchors. The cranes stand steady. The harbour lights still glow. Birds move freely above what we can’t see.
I’ve learned over the years that progress personal or civic often happens in conditions like this. Not when everything is clear, but when we keep showing up anyway. When we rely on one another. When we lift together, even when the path forward isn’t obvious.
Saint John has known its share of fog. Yet it keeps moving, building, adapting. And so do we. Clarity comes eventually. Until then, we stay steady, look out for each other, and trust that the light is still there.

If you love Saint John, I’d highly recommend following Andrew on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/AndrewJosephMiller
